Using this plugin, you can add icons (images) to sidebar of your site or blog into section of categories and pages.

Installation
- Upload entire
category-page-iconsfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- The Plugin menu “Icons” will appear at admin menu
- Configure Settings at the submenu settings page of Icons menu
- Upload Icons and sign them to pages or categories. If you have at sidebar category or page sections, icons will appear there.

How to add Icons to my page or category section at sidebar?
Icons automatically appears at the sidebar, after assigning them to the pages or categories at icons admin menu. You do not need to insert some special code for inserting icons. Icons automatic inserting also during using these functions: wp_list_pages, wp_list_categories.
If I am using functions `wp_list_pages`, `wp_list_categories` and do not using sidebar, are icons available ?

Thank you for this great plugin. I would like to assign icons to an horizontal menu, but the text displays at the bottom of the icons. Could you help me to display the icons on the left of the text menu?

Recently I upgrade my wp to wp 2.9 and the plugin doesn’t work fine.
I can’t choose icons per categories and i can’t upload new icons.

Hello, right now this feature is not support at actual version, may be later I will add it to the future releases of the Category and page icons wordpress plugin.

I uploaded icons for categories, but I can only assign an icon to one category (the first). So only category is showed. Any ideas why and how to fix it?

Sorry! My English is a little bad.
if you have all categories show in “Assign icons to Categories” you must check on your database ( in _terms > term_order )
All categories have term_order for example: 1,3,7,20,50 but not zero
Therefore change zero value to other number value

Does this work with subcategories too? I tried to do that but it did not work for me.
Issue is Fixed
I experience the same problem with the categories. I have about 10 categories, 3 of them have subcategories. I’m using my_category_order plugin as well. In the page where you assign the icons to the categories, I see the subcategories for just one of the main categories. I already went to my_category_order and ordered the subcategories and that made things a bit better (only one of the subcategories of one of the main categories was showing before that)
Any idea of when this issue will be fixed? Maybe I can be of help getting into the code?
I think its will be next week, righ now have a lot of work. I will inform all about relese and fixing issue.
i have the same problem. i have 8 pages but only Four pages its recognized by your plugin. in the case of category i have 5 categories but only One its recognized. How I can send a screenshot ? rafael

Like many others I’m curious why when setting the icon to a category or page, only 2 pages or categories are displayed. All categories have posts in them and all posts and pages are published.
I have some child categories and pages, oddly enough one of each of those children items is showing up, and one top level item. Please help.
Are all pages published atyou blogs ? or maybe there is just drafts ..

thanks for the plugin but when I click “assign icons to pages” only one of my pages comes up in the drop down list. Is there a way I could fix this?
Not all pages and categories appear in the menu for me to tag the icons I uploaded. Rather disappointing. I have a small blog – about 5 pages and 5 categories. I am able to tag icons to only 2 pages and two categories. It is a nice feature – hope you can make it work for all pages/categories..Thanks

Useful and beautiful plugin, but not all the categories are visualised in the menu to assign them the icons!
They change when you modify the list though..

There have to not show only categories without posts inside.
Is situation at your system different ?
I noticed that only the category with posts are shown in the sidebar, but this is not the problem even if would be nice to make all of them appear even without posts in the category (especially for new blog).
Anyway, my problem is in the admin panel. When I try to assign the images, sometime the categories are not all in that list, so I can’t chose the image for them.
However, I managed to visualize them, changing the order of the category with a plugin called “My category order”.
